Inclusive Padel Tour Makes Historic UK Debut
The Inclusive Padel Tour (IPT), a pioneering global circuit that unites disabled and non-disabled players in competitive padel, is coming to Great Britain for the first time. The landmark event will take place at Padel Maidenhead in Berkshire on Saturday, 20 September 2025, marking the seventh stop on the IPT’s 10-date international calendar.
Founded to promote accessibility and inclusion in padel, the IPT features doubles teams composed of one non-disabled player and one “bionic” player – defined as either a prostheses, wheelchair-user or a player with ‘obvious motor limitations’. Matches follow adapted rules: bionic players are allowed two bounces (except in specific cases), while their partners play under standard conditions.

The Maidenhead event will welcome players from around the world, including several British athletes who have competed internationally. Among them is Kristen Paskins, a passionate advocate for inclusive padel and the UK’s first female disability padel player. Kristen, who became a wheelchair user in 2022 due to a neurological disorder, has competed in IPT events in Venice, Milan, Dubai, and Miami. Her efforts, alongside fellow players Louis Telford and Andrew Simister, were instrumental in bringing the tour to Britain.

Padel Maidenhead is offering its courts free of charge for the one-day tournament, which will also feature community outreach and social events throughout the weekend. Organisers hope the event will inspire more disabled people in the UK to take up padel and experience its physical and social benefits.
