Eva Longoria Swaps Red Carpet for Padel Court at Rafa Academy
Hollywood star Eva Longoria traded glamour for grit this week as she showcased her padel prowess at the prestigious Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca. The actress, producer, and director took to the courts in Manacor while filming her upcoming project The Last Sunrise, blending sport and cinema in true Longoria style.
Hosted by Maribel Nadal, Deputy General Manager of the academy and Longoria’s longtime friend from the Hexagon Cup circuit, the visit was both personal and athletic. Longoria, owner of the Eleven Eleven padel team, joined Maribel – face of the Rafa Nadal Academy team – for a friendly match that drew attention from fans and fellow players alike.
The highlight of her visit was a spirited game against Gemma Triay, the world number one in the FIP padel rankings. Though the winner was kept under wraps, Longoria’s competitive spirit and fluid footwork left no doubt she’s more than just a casual enthusiast.
Her appearance coincided with the academy’s unveiling of three new indoor padel courts, bringing the total to 19 and reinforcing its commitment to the sport’s rapid growth. “How exciting!” the academy posted on Instagram, celebrating both the expansion and Longoria’s visit.
Longoria’s passion for padel is no secret – she’s become a vocal advocate for the sport’s inclusive appeal and rising global profile. Her Mallorca cameo adds another chapter to padel’s crossover into mainstream culture, proving that the court is just as captivating as the camera.
